GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

Available between July 22 – August 6, 2024, possibly including early mornings, late evenings, and/or Saturday or Sunday workdays. Contractors are paid a daily fee for an average of 8-10 hours over the course of the court set-up (July 22 – July 26), tournament (July 27 – August 4), and teardown (August 5 – 7).

Excited for physical work, including moving and positioning heavy equipment and other assets. Ability to lift 50lbs+

Willing to work as part of a dedicated team that may be responsible for all aspects of facility management including cleaning, grounds maintenance, special events, and other duties as assigned.

You must be comfortable in an active construction environment. Set-up vendors are building tents, installing power, and using heavy equipment throughout the site. You must always be attentive and aware of your surroundings.

Punctual and impeccably presented, adhering to shift attendance requirements and maintaining a neat, well-maintained presence.

Possess a positive demeanor and outstanding communication skills.

Must be able to work autonomously and as part of a team.

Valid Driver's License and Forklift Operator experience strongly preferred.
TOURNAMENT DUTIES:
- Learn procedures and protocols in the following areas:
- Net assembly
- ATP/WTA guidelines
- Microphone operation
- Recognition of specific players
- Court layouts
- Sponsor requirements
- Court drying
- Court washing
- Anticipating player needs
- Inventory management
- Knowledgably work as part of the following teams:
- Court runner
- Net change team
- Court monitor
- Practice Court Attendant
- Communicate with Operations Dispatcher to update scores, request product needs, and provide updates
- Prepare courts for matches each day.
- Quickly solve any on court problems at the discretion of the chair umpire.
- Act as first responder to any issues that may arise on court
- Tend to the needs of players on court
- Ensure that all on court sponsor material is appropriately placed
- Monitor on court security and notify marshals of any potential threats
- Communicate and work with chair umpire and lines people on each court
- Contribute to the changing of nets and on-court signage procedures
- Lead court drying procedure in the event of rain
- Support coworkers in the cleaning of match courts each night.
- Photograph assigned areas for documentation purposes.
- Assist in the completion of quality control surveys
- Make recommendations to improve the position and the tournament from year to year
- Participate in group projects as directed by Management.
- Assist volunteers in preparing their areas for the tournaments.
- Assist with package and laundry handling
- Player area beverage resupply
- Assisting in all player areas with supplies and other ad hoc requests
- Assist with player area setup including office, locker rooms, fitness center, practice courts and other player-related areas including ordering and inventory of supplies.
