The Mubadala Citi DC Open men’s doubles bracket was released Friday with recent Wimbledon champions Harri Heliovaara and Henry Patten returning to court as the No.1 seeds in Washington.

Heliovaara and Patten will face the tandem of Ivan Dodig and Ben Shelton in the first round. Dodig is a seven-time Grand Slam doubles champion and two-time DC finalist. Shelton reached the doubles final a year ago in Rock Creek Park while teaming with Mackenzie McDonald.

Heliovaara and Patten began playing together in April and have already won titles in Marrakech and Lyon before clinching their first Grand Slam crown in London. The duo saved three championship points in the Wimbledon final en route to a three-set win over Aussie duo Max Purcell and Jordan Thompson.

Purcell and Thompson anchor the bottom half of the doubles draw as the No. 2 seeds and will face a qualifying team in their opening match. Purcell and Thompson have won three doubles titles together this year in Dallas, Los Cabos and Houston.

Sebastian Korda and #ATPNextGen star Alex Michelsen form an all-American wild card tandem while College Park native Frances Tiafoe partners with Aussie Thanasi Kokkinakis as the other wild-card entrants.

A pair of former DC doubles champions will also team up as Jamie Murray (2018) and Michael Venus (2019) look for more success in the nation’s capital as the No.3 seeds. Murray is a seven-time Grand Slam doubles champion while Venus won the 2017 Roland Garros men’s doubles title and been a Grand Slam finalist on four other occasions.
